Capital: Doha · Single time zone (AST, UTC+3) · small and compact enough that prayer times barely change from one end of the country to the other.
METHOD: QATARQatar uses its own dedicated Aladhan calculation method, simply named "Qatar," distinct from the wider Umm al-Qura convention used by Saudi Arabia next door. Physically, Qatar is a small peninsula jutting into the Gulf, and its most populous cities — Doha, Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah — all sit within a short drive of each other along the coast, so unlike a much larger Gulf neighbour, there's very little geographic spread here to account for.
Very little — Qatar is compact enough that it takes under two hours to drive from Doha to the far edges of the country, so Fajr and Isha differ by only a minute or two between its major towns on any given day.
Aladhan's dedicated "Qatar" method — a country-specific convention rather than a generic regional one like MWL or Umm al-Qura, reflecting Qatar's own published standard.
