Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, obligatory once in a lifetime for every Muslim who is physically and financially able. See the Hajj Guide for a full day-by-day walkthrough.
The exact start date depends on the Saudi authorities' moon sighting in Makkah — this is a reliable estimate using the tabular Hijri calendar and may shift by a day.
